Maybe a Scam
Has anyone had a microsoft alert come up on their computer or device. Was playing around on my computer and this thing from supposedly microsoft saying my computer had been blocked because of suspicious activity. I tried to get rid of it and nothing happened and then rang the number but after giving my name and phone number I became suspicious especially when they wanted details of my computer and hung up and said I would ring my own computer person. After that I managed to get back into my computer. I am thinking this is a scam

Response to regifting presents
My mind tends to wander:
I do not see any problem with regifting it back to the person who gave it, they obviously liked it. In fact, that might work out well as you buy the present you want, then gift it to someone you know who will gift it back.
Perfect, no decision needs to be made about Xmas presents
