West Coast infrastructure projects to receive $36 million Covid-19 kickstart
The West Coast Regional Council will receive $24 million for flood protection and climate resilience projects as part of the $3 billion fund for job creation announced last week.
More than $12m of the investment will support the community and environmental and transport projects.
An additional $13m has been set aside in this year’s Budget to go towards improving the rail connection between Christchurch and the West Coast.
