Multimillion-dollar Lancaster Park plan approved, but there is no money

The 6-hectare former Lancaster Park will be converted into three sports fields once the stadium is fully demolished.

The sports fields are likely to be used for rugby and soccer in the winter and cricket in the summer. The plans also shows space for 105 car parks, toilets and changing facilities, a play area, a possible sports pavilion and rose beds either side of the memorial gates on Stevens St.
