Area G4 Contest Night
Civic Toastmasters Club had two members competing at the Area G4 Contests last night [Thursday 7th]. John competed in the Table Topics contest, but was not placed. However, Penny did a great job with her Humorous Speech and took away the Trophy. She will now go on to represent our club at the Division Contest next month.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
