Planning a visit to New Brighton Beach this weekend?
If you’re visiting New Brighton Beach tomorrow, keep an eye out for our team as they remove scaffold debris from the water.
The scaffold was knocked off New Brighton Pier during Cyclone Gita, and is now in the water, posing a safety hazard to surfers and swimmers. Divers and a boat will assist with the recovery using an excavator, winches and cables.
If you’re in the water, please stay at least 60 metres away from the pier.
