Help required Sunday 24th September
Can you spare a few hours on Sunday to help students help their community??
Matamata Interact Club is a Rotary sponsored club for 12-18 year olds recently formed so the students can get involved in community service. They have 4000 trees to plant tomorrow at a property on Horahora Road which will generate substantial funds for their next local project. If you can spare a couple of hours between 10am and 2pm please come along and give them a hand. Refreshments will be provided. Please call Michelle 0277225599. Thank you
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
