Opportunist Thief
Any clubs, organisations holding functions need to be aware of a skilled opportunist thief operating in our area. Money or valuables left unattended for only a few minutes have gone missing after a visit by this character in the photos. Last Saturday just before 3pm he entered the foyer area at Johnston Park Bowling Club and in moments stole money from an office desk that had been temporarily unattended. It has also been reported that there was an opportunist theft from an Ashhurst Hall at around 4pm Saturday where a money till and a ladies handbag disappeared in moments. People who have seen the pictures say the same person was hanging around before the theft in Ashhurst.
