Hit-and-run driver gets home detention

Fiona from Henderson

"He was sentenced to four months' home detention, 12 months' disqualification from driving, and was ordered to pay $4000 in reparation to the victim's family"
That's all he got for killing a 14 year old?😒😒
So the courts calculated that this poor wee angel that died was only worth (approx) $285.71 per year that she was alive - WTH!!!
"He's remorseful for what he's done" - really? Or is he just remorseful he got caught?
He was driving an unregistered and unwarranted car with both alcohol and cannabis in his system when this happened.
He knew exactly what he was doing.
The poor wee young lady's family are far more generous and forgiving than most of us would be.
