Zaknich Farms (one of New Zealand's premium growers) has opened one of their farms for the first time for picking your own strawberries located at 125 Waitakere Road, Waitakere, Auckland (near Waitakere Township).

Only $5 per kg, no entry fee, no minimum spend. Season to end mid/late January.

We also highly recommend you bring your own shallow containers to pick in to, as this will be the best way to transport your berries home, as you don't want them to turn into jam from the summer heat by the time you get home. Even better, if you have chilly bins/cooler bags with ice to cool down your berries as well.

Happy Picking!

Price: $5

Hi to you all and especially the hard-working owners of Burger King, Clark St, New Lynn.
Are you aware that while you are working and serving, the low life who hang around your back entrance, are coming in with an empty 2 litre soft drink bottle and filling it for free at your drink station? Making a huge mess while they do so.
This is happening on a regular basis and very brazenly.
It is not my profits which are being eroded, but I am mystified as to why you haven't put a stop to it. Locking the back entrance would solve it.

Best wishes for the festive season,
Linda

If you freeze ice cream over time, it will often form large ice crystals on the surface or become rubbery. With some raw fruits such as peach, nectarine and kiwifruit, the colour will change and ice cream will not look so attractive.
To serve, It’s best to take the ice cream out of the freezer.

3 Tbsp Water

3 Egg whites

🍸🍷🍺Another conversation regarding purchasing alcohol🍺🍷🍸

Fiona from Henderson

So, there I was trying to decide where we could purchase some affordable alcohol for Christmas WITHOUT going to a Trust owned shop and in an area that I/we go to or through regularly.

So, there I was trying to decide where we could purchase some affordable alcohol for Christmas WITHOUT going to a Trust owned shop and in an area that I/we go to or through regularly.
We know that Countdown Mt Roskill (Stoddard Road) sell beer & wine, but can't remember if it's a Trust operation or not, I don't think it is.
The discussion wandered off into where the boundaries are for West Auckland i.e. which suburbs fall into the West Auckland catchment.
So I went to find out (see link below):
List of Suburbs in West Auckland:
Anawhata
Bethells Beach
Glen Eden
Glendene
Green Bay
Henderson
Herald Island
Hobsonville
Huia
Karekare
Kelston
Konini
Kumeu
Laingholm
Lincoln
McLaren Park
Massey
New Lynn
Oratia
Piha
Ranui
Royal Heights
Sunnyvale
Swanson
Te Atatu
Te Atatu Peninsula
Te Atatu South
Titirangi
Waiatarua
Westgate
West Harbour
Western Heights
Whenuapai
westauckland.co.nz...
Well that discovery brought on a whole new conversation regarding The Trusts.
As Mt Albert doesn't fall into this catchment, how can the Trusts put a store within Pak'nSave (New North Rd)?
Do The Trust create their own boundaries just so they can extend their revenue reach under the guise of Mt Albert Pak'nSave being close to a suburb (New Lynn or Kelston)?
Something doesn't smell right here?
