Expect heavy traffic and changeable weather over Queen’s Birthday Weekend

The NZ Transport Agency is encouraging drivers heading away for Queen’s Birthday Weekend in the Auckland and Northland region to take care and be prepared for heavy traffic, delays and changeable weather.

Metservice is forecasting a change in the weather with showers and low temperatures in the region over the weekend, so it’s important that drivers stay alert, be patient and don’t rush.

NZTA predicts the heaviest time for traffic heading north out of Auckland on SH1 will be 1pm–6pm on Friday between Pūhoi and Wellsford. For traffic returning on Monday the busiest time will be 11am – 6pm.

For motorists heading south out of Auckland, it’s heaviest at Takanini on SH1 between 10:30am and 7:30pm on Friday. Coming back, the busiest time on Monday is 10:30am – 8pm.

☎️ IMPORTANT MESSAGE from NZ POLICE Asst. Commissioner ☎️

Kia Ora New Zealand,

I’m writing to you to let you and your neighbours in Hobsonville know about our new non-emergency number, 105.

The launch of 105 marks a very significant milestone in the history of New Zealand Police,
👮‍♂️ 👮‍♀️
so we made a song, featuring our staff, to help you get it stuck in your head. You might have noticed our awesome video promoting our new way to contact us for non-emergencies, 105.
Check it out here - see video attached.

Until now people either called their local Police station or they called 111 if they wanted to get hold of Police. Quite often people called 111 just because they wanted to talk to someone even if it wasn’t urgent.

So, to help keep New Zealand as safe as possible, we have introduced 105 so people know how to contact us for non-urgent situations as well. You can use 105 to report things that have already happened that don’t need urgent Police assistance.

You can call 105 from both mobile and landline phones. It’s a free nationwide service available day and night for New Zealanders and overseas visitors.

You can also go online to 105.police.govt.nz... to report:
- Theft in a public place
- Theft from a car
- Intentional property damage
- Shoplifting
- Lost property
Or to get an update on a report already made or add to an existing report.

Just remember to always call 111 in an emergency. The new 105 service is only for Police non-emergencies. Call 111 when:
- A crime is happening now – and the offenders are still there or just left
- Someone’s in danger or badly injured
- There’s a serious risk to human life or property
- You see a major public hazard, like trees blocking a road
- Any of these things are happening now or have just happened.

111 is also the number for Fire and Ambulance.

A simple rule of thumb for when to call 111 and when to call 105 is this: If it’s happening now, use 111. If it’s already happened, use 105.

Take a look at the website to find out when exactly to use 105 or for frequently asked questions, so you know what to do next time you need to contact us.

Hi everyone,

Hope this email finds you well.

I just finished a 'Hand Therapy' workshop in Wellington. And I like to share something that you may find interesting for yourself and your loved ones.

Just the next day i heard some good results reported by some of the attendees. And I like to share with you especially one case.

One attendee treated a lady who had numbness and restrictive movement in the leg for 9 years with a simple technique she learned in 1 day workshop. You know what happened? First time in 9 years she felt tingling sensation there! She was even able to bend her leg more without any cramping!

This is something any of you can do after 1 day special workshop with Don, the only 'Hand Therapy' specialist in NZ.

More info is available in my website (www.handacupuncturecourses.com) on this amazing technique that anyone can easily learn and get benefit you've never imagined.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Kind regards,

Don Kim
