Did you have - or do you still have - a Waterbed? I hunted high and low for someone who still used one of the originals, but couldn't find a soul who'd own up to it.
What do you think about these wonderfully kitsch pieces of retro bedroom decor?

What do you think about the newly announced festival on Motutapu?
Island Time on Motutapu is a festival to be held over the last weekend in February and is set to feature a smorgasbord of food and drink vendors and music artists.
Festival-goers will be treated to a day long festival on either February 27 or 28 on the island. Tickets range from between $65 to $85, with a portion of ticket sales going towards to wildlife conservation.
Billy Brown, the deputy chairman of Ngāi Tai Ki Tamaki, said that it is an excellent opportunity to showcase the culture of the island and for them to educate visitors about volunteer opportunities on Motutapu.
“In the end, we want a calendar of events on the island, covering sports, arts, food – all of it," he said.
Share your thoughts below and don't forget to type NFP if you don't want your comments used by Stuff.

With places limited to just 45 children, it is a small and nurturing centre that will fill up fast.
Aukilani Kids is different to most childcare centres because it operates more like a traditional kindergarten, specialising in children over two years old with an educational programme focused on preparing children for school. As well as offering a bilingual Samoan experience the centre also has a faith-based programme.
Private and secure, Aukilani Kids has an outdoor area full of mature trees and equipment aimed to inspire and challenge pre-schoolers. With so many leafy places to explore it feels more like a park than a childcare playground. One of the many highlights of Aukilani Kids is the huge car park which guarantees drop off and pick up is never stressful.
Aukilani Kids is open from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Get in touch and secure your child’s place.

The house is beautifully cool in summer and warm in winter. There were 21 children living on this street when our kids were growing up. All grown up and moved on now, but we have the best memories of all sorts of crazy adventures with neighbours that have become lifelong friends. We wish this for the next family that lives in this home. Have a look at our listing on trademe.
