Influenza vaccination has begun
Our CEO Margie Apa had her flu vaccine today from our wonderful hospital-based peer vaccinators. Thanks to all the vaccinating teams at CMDHB more than 4,500 of our 7,500 staff have received the flu vaccine within a week! Vaccination for vulnerable members of our community has already started through doctors' clinics and pharmacies, and the roll out to everyone else will start mid-April.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
