Awesome Amazing Neighbour

Lucille Nikita from Wattle Downs

As one of the first to leave our street for work, my husband to bes' favourite neighbour, well respected by other neighbours, tries to help his wife out as much as he can (wife works hard and long hours too) washing and cooking, looking after his many kids teenagers and new grandson (soon to be 1yr old), so friendly always with a smile on his face, love his fishing and Always shares his catch with his neighbours!!! but this one time all i seen was this guy flying over my fence (me thinking WTF) and my kids had got themselves in a pickle with my back gate, steps and water ( i hate the area it gets so slimy and very dangerous esp when wet) me trying to rest didnt think anything of it at the time - my boys are always up to no good ( laughing and crying - if you know what i mean???) but this particular time this neighbour must have seen and heard something and flew over our gate to save my youngest boy who was just playing and following his two older brothers, I still dont know what really happened but my boy was histerical, shivering crying and soaked and this neighbour was just saying "its ok, its ok" - i ran out with a towel and scooped him up, said thank you and ran inside to put my boy in the shower. I have high blood pressure and this was a heart attack moment. Me thinking he has just saved my sons life!!!!.I remember thinking Angels are watching over us and this Awesome Neighbour and his family are living guardians! I really do not know how to say Thank You meaningfully and this would be so AMAZING!! He so deserves this Title. :D

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
