Appreciation Post
I want to share a fantastic sight I appreciate and acknowledge as a rare event of complete satisfaction. So I merged onto NW motorway from Waterview heading east, it was usual observation of nearly every vehicle mobilised that morning up each others business, so i proceeded to hang back to create a sizeable gap which i know can annoy others. But then it seemed everyone else around did same in unison and then suddenly the unthinkable happened, the motorway opened right up and everyone was suddenly moving at 80kms with a good gap had between each vehicle, and the sun rose and I saw that miracle folks. I got to Remuera from Blockhouse in 25 mins?! Kia Ora Westies....

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
