Hi neighbours. Chatswood retirees Marcus and Margaret Norden told us their story last week of their 27-year battle dealing with wilding pines over the fence in Kauri Point Centennial Park. They said they'd spent $20,000 dealing with Auckland Council's "rubbish"! Have you been fighting with council over an issue in your backyard? Like the Nordens, are you dealing with pesky pine trees or dangerous trees which are on council land? Have you spent an exorbitant amount of money cleaning up in council's stead? Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times. Find out more
