What do you think about another rate
Hi neighbours A massive storm earlier in the year caused widespread damage and power outages that went on for up to a week in some parts of Auckland. Now a finance officer at Auckland Council has floated the idea of a targeted rate. He suggested some of the money come from development funds. However, he suggested ratepayers could pay a rate because their property values would increase with undergrounded power. What do you think? Is it worth another rate? Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
