Child Care Spaces Available
Hi everyone. I'm an in-home childcare educator for Apples at Home Childcare. I have a couple of spaces available for any under 5 year olds. I have been a care educator for nearly 9 years and live in Sunnynook and regularly attend playgroups, go to mainly music, the library, parks, playgrounds, beaches and have lots of indoor and outdoor toys available. I also love to do arts and crafts and science experiments with the kids. Apples offers subsidies to families that meet the WINZ criteria and 20h free for 3 & 4 year olds. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
