Have you noticed suspicious activity in Torbay?
Police have increased their presence in Torbay after reports of parked vehicles being damaged with windscreens smashed and broken.
Waitematā East Police senior sergeant Scott Cunningham said police take these incidents seriously and are investigating.
“It’s believed that the damage in some of these incidents may have been caused by a pellet gun,” he said.
“Police want to hear from anyone who has seen any suspicious activity in the Torbay area or anyone who was seen in the Torbay area with a pellet gun.”
Cunningham is encouraging anyone who sees any suspicious activity or damage taking place to contact police immediately.
Anyone with further information about these incidents is urged to contact police on 105, or can also supply information on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
