Vodafone prepaid users - There is a scam going on right under your noses and you won't notice it!!!!
Last month, I took a photo of my Vodafone prepaid offers on Thursday night to let my friends know of the fabulous weekly offers for prepaid customers. In the image was the balance on my account. A few hours later at midnight, the account rolled over and a few dollars were skimmed off my account.
I vented my disbelief on the Neighbourly site. Not many people believed me. I am still unsure where the few dollars disappeared to but two days later the correct balance reappeared in my account.
It happened again last week but this time I didn't take a photo of the old balance but suspected something was stolen but not sure how much.
Imagine with 100,000 customers, $2.00 from each account skimmed equals to $200,000!!!! I found out today there was a couple of dollars more in my account. How many of us look at their prepaid balances?
Vodafone should come out publicly and let the public know if there is a fraudulent staff or someone is hacking into their system. It is the least the company owes to its customers otherwise we assume the company is doing it themselves.
To have more transparency and honesty, I hope Vodafone account details carry the brought forward balance as well.
