Community Yoga Class // Murrays Bay Beach (The Outram Hall)

Claire from Forrest Hill

Are you curious about yoga, or have you been looking for an affordable local (beginners) community class that fits in with your schedule?

I have an amazing bunch of locals (from all walks of life and abilities) that join me on the mat to simply move, breathe and re-connect on a weekly basis.

The class is open to men, women and young adults (free for 12-18 year olds with a paying adult), so grab a family member, a partner or a friend and come and have some fun.

$7 per class if you sign up for the full term
$10 per class on a drop in basis.

// Thursday night - 7pm - 8:15pm (term time only)
// The Outram Hall in Murrays Bay

If you're interested in coming along please add yourself to my private Facebook group (link below) or send me a message on here (this allows me to keep the class register up to date and to be able to communicate with you about any changes to the weekly class). Also if you want to know more about the class, the space or yoga itself I'd love to hear from you.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
