Homestay family needed

Winnie from Sunnynook

Students from our sister city (Ningbo, China) will visit Auckland between the end of July and August. We will have a large group of students aged 10-14 to visit their sister school in Auckland.
We are looking for the English-speaking & caring families to host them. (2 students share one room, 3 meals and transportation provided).
What can the host family get?

-Your family will build a long-term friendship with a family in China.

-Get to know people from a different culture

-Your kid(s) will be invited to our mini project----our students will teach your kid(s) Chinese culture every day after class. (E.g. learn Chinese culture and do some handcraft of traditional Chinese toy)

-Earn extra money while hosting the students. (The homestay fee is $280 weekly per student)

-Have a 7/24 team to support you.

If you are interested, please send your information to student_service@aedut.com OR contact Katy or Danny at 0226066887/093681231

Help Needed: Peat, Straw, and Moisture Control for Tiger Worms in Castor Bay

Diana from Castor Bay

Hello, neighbors! I’m in Castor Bay and currently caring for my tiger worms. I’ve encountered some moisture issues and am looking for materials like peat, straw, or anything that can help with moisture absorption. I’d also appreciate any advice on preventing clogging in the drainage pipe to ensure proper drainage. If anyone has extra peat, straw, or can share some helpful tips, I’d be really grateful! Thank you so much for your support, especially during the holiday season
Best wishes,
Diana
