As part of the teaching team at Conscious Kids, I am pleased to encourage you or perhaps a parent you know to consider a special opportunity for our children. Each Wednesday 9am - 3pm at Little Shoal Bay Reserve in Northcote, an awesome group of school-aged children head out of the classroom and into nature for child-led play based learning. Last term we loved having our Devonport, Belmont, and Hauraki whanau along for our many fun and exciting adventures in beautiful coastal ecosystems!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
