Face coverings on public transport-cause for concern?
I use public transport daily to commute to work. On an average, 25% commuters do not wear masks/coverings.
I spoke to some who don't, over past few days. Their casual response, "sorry I don't have one", "forgot"...
As far as I understand wearing of masks is mandatory on all public transport in Auckland, even at level 1. Exceptions do apply.
However with these excuses, what is the point in majority of commuters following rules, whilst a handful of them, just don't bother.
Is is alright to ask them or just leave them alone and change your seat?
Any other suggestions?
Is this complacency or irresponsible attitude- waiting for another outbreak in community?
So annoying

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
