Diabetic man, 81, missing from central Auckland

An 81-year-old diabetic man has been reported missing in Auckland.

Dianyanchi Cai was reported missing to police around 2pm on Thursday afternoon when his family realised he was not at his Mt Albert home, police said.

In a press release from 10pm on Thursday night, police said he had not been seen or heard from since.

Cai was last seen wearing a grey jacket, blue jeans, brown shoes and a cowboy hat.

Police said he was a diabetic and there was a concern for his safety as he does not have his medication.
