Point Chevalier Amateur Athletics Club is now open for new registrations for the Summer 2017 / 2018 season. All children aged 3 to 14 years welcome. Club nights are held on Tuesday evenings at Walker Park, Point Chevalier. Ages 3 - 6 run from 5.30pm to 6.30pm Age Groups 7 - 14 run from 5.45pm to 7.15pm. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
