Hi neighbours, thousands of Auckland families are forced to feed themselves on less than $7 a meal this winter, Auckland City Mission says.
As Winter sets in they're asking for donations of money and non-perishable food items to help the cities most vulnerable.

Hi Neighbours, hard to believe in a cold damp winter that water supply could be an issue, isn't it. Watercare is asking that we avoid waste, have shorter showers and so on, because the storage lakes are below normal. If you remember the 1994 crisis, read this article.

This morning we had the first of our Matariki Art Classes - School Holiday Programme sessions. This is a hands on class led by Fine Young Artists for kids aged 6 to 15 years, where they'll learn about Matariki and make their own Matariki diorama. Sessions are twice a day every weekday during the holidays, 10.30am and 1.30pm. $10 per child (no cost for an accompanying adult).
Of course, we invite you to make a day of it and explore our galleries and Weird and Wonderful Discovery Centre while you're here.
It’s not too late to book! Various dates and times still available. Find out more and book here: www.aucklandmuseum.com...

Journeying through the story of the nine whetū (stars) of the Matariki cluster, Matariki for Tamariki is a celestial celebration for the whole whānau. Through majestic choreography, spectacular music, and evocative design, the curious adventurers onstage plant the seeds of new beginnings for hope of the future ahead.
Join the Company for a magical performance that will leave kids & “kidaults” alike filled with joy & gratitude for the whenua (land) we call home.
