'FOR THE LOVE OF BEES'
Do you own a Bee Hive? I do, and the Varroa Mite is rampant - I have been fumigating and treating for some months now but the Varroa Mite are still coming back! If you own a Hive - please make sure you're doing the right thing! Join the Auckland Bee Club - an amazing group of people who meet once a month, all sharing/learning about the care of Bees and Healthy Hives - they are all such helpful people . . . and REGISTER your Hive with AsureQuality Ltd. Unless we are all doing 'right by Bees', then we are all in trouble. And if you don't own a Hive, we'd still love you to plant Bee friendly plants in your garden to help feed them. They are the most amazing creatures and we can't live without them - many thanks, Helen Loveday

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
