My car clamped in Papatoetoe 8/2/2019

Sara from Papatoetoe

Yesterday evening Friday 8 the February 2019 , I was driving home after work. On the way I had to drop this application form to Kipmacgrath education center in Papatoetoe.
Road was busy and I missed the turn so I dove bit more further and turned my car towards cheese cake shop in Papatoetoe.I stopped the car at Alignz recruitment parking spot. Time was 5 .35 and both Alignz recruitment and asset finance place was closed. There was plenty of parking was there. Then I walked out of the car and walked towards kipmacgrath I dropped the application and came back within 3 minutes when I come back my car was clamped. There was a person walked towards my car and looked at me when I get out from the car but said nothing.
This person asked me is this your car?
I said yes and he asked me to read the notice on the door of Alignz recruitment and said I parked on a private property and have to pay 200.00 to release the clamp.
I tried one hour to explain him that it was only 3 minutes and business was closed at the time.
This heatless person didn't listen and at the end I had to pay 200.00 get my car release.
So be careful if you are parking those places and even crossed the road they will clamp your car.
I even called owner of the Alignz recruitment and he said it not him who hired this Elite parking services. It was building owner even he tells them still they will not let you go.sometimes customers who comes to see him and after cross the road to get something they clamped.
This is not fair.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
