Bargains and you support a great cause
Hi everyone
We have some fantastic furniture at the Vintage Store so bring your trailer or ute and grab a bargain.
We also have a huge range of clothing, housewares, books, records, bric-a-brac and shoes - so what are you waiting for. Make a purchase and help Age Concern provide services to older people in South Auckland.
The Vintage Store is at 3/154 Kolmar Road Papatoetoe and 85 O'Shannessey Street Papakura. Pop in between 10-4 Monday to Friday and 10-1 on Saturdays.
this is a picture of our new afternoon coordinator Christine standing outside the Papatoetoe store - if you'd like to find out about becoming a volunteer pop in and see her or contact Christine, Masina or Caroline on tvsadmin@accm.org.nz
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Yellow Canna Lilies are vibrant, tropical perennials known for bright yellow flowers and lush green leaves, adding bold color to gardens in summer and autumn; they thrive in full sun, moist soil, need plenty of water and food, and are great for borders, pots, or water features, attracting pollinators, but need winter protection in colder climates.
