fitness gym

Brian from Mangere East

just posting a message about mangere town centre or the surrounding area having a proper fitness gym and seeing if other mangere residents feel the same way about this , for a longtime mangere has gone without a gym but we have all the major takeaway outlets mcds, kfc , burger king , pizza hut , carl juniors and a host of other different takeaways to put on the weight but nothing to balance the scale and battle the fat , you look at other neighbouring suburbs like onehunga , royal oak, mt roskill and the other way Mt wellington , panmure , stonefields they all have 2 - 1 gyms each suburb but somehow mangere town missed out , yes there is the mangere pools which has a very basic setup not enough for some , in my opinion mangere has a bit of a obesity problem and some of them are my own family and we all have those family relatives and want help but nowhere to go to get it like a gym, and no insentive to lose weight and eat healthier , having a gym in mangere would be a godsend for some and the mangere community would benefit greatly , people by the loads would be lining up to sign up join the gym instead of lining up for that bucket of chicken or a super upsized combo with large fries , i think the YMCA NZ should step-up and tackle this problem they always on facebook talking about supporting communities with youth and elderly and mangere would be another manukau/auckland suburb and that would be a fantastic choice for everyone but the people who need to read and really hear this message are the council people for mangere-otahuhu who actually do the town planning , i hope other mangerians have the same feelings about this cause mangere needs a gym even two gyms not another major brand takeaway , cheers to everyone
