Kitten rescued from drain, Otara: Auckland
Meet Luna, the kitten rescued from a drain in Otara, Auckland.
Luna was found deep in the ditch late on Friday night after being stuck for at least a day.
It took 90 minutes for Fire and Emergency New Zealand and New Zealand Police officers to pull the female kitten to safety.
The animal was not micro-chipped and had not been reported missing.
So one of the constables at Counties Manukau Police adopted and named the cat.
Luna's now happy and settled with a healthy appetite to boot.
Lest we forget...
