Visiting criteria at Middlemore Hospital at Alert Level 3

The Team from Counties Manukau Health

Public visiting at Middlemore Hospital and CM Health clinics will continue to be only for essential appointments or on compassionate grounds. Our priority is to keep our patients, whaanau and staff safe.

- Whaanau who want to visit a patient need to be from the patient’s own ‘bubble’, and have permission from the Charge Nurse Manager/Charge Midwife Manager.

- All visitors will be screened before they can enter, and no children under 15 years can visit at this time.

- Some of our specialist care units have further restrictions on visiting – please check with the Charge Nurse Manager.

- Arrangements can be made for a key support person to be there during labour and birth, for children in hospital, and support for those with special care needs.

For further information on the above, please visit our website: www.countiesmanukau.health.nz... or call our Customer Service team on 09 277 166.

Don't forget whaanau! You can always contact your loved ones in hospital by phone, FaceTime, Zoom, Skype or Facebook Messenger. WiFi is FREE for hospital patients.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
