International Day of Yoga Celebration

Yoga in Daily Life

The 21st of June has been declared by the United Nations as the International Day of Yoga – and Yoga in Daily Life centres around the world are providing free yoga classes during the week, that everyone can experience the many benefits that yoga yields for the health and well-being of body, mind and soul; and to demonstrate how Yoga in Daily Life offers a clear pathway towards good health, deeper awareness, understanding, harmony and peace, for yourself and others.

Special Free Program on 20/6/2021, Sunday:

9 - 10.15am Yoga class (Suitable for Beginners)

10.30 - 11.15am Sun Salutation as a part of Yogathon

11.30 - 12.30pm. Yoga for Healthy Back

3 - 4.15pm Yoga class (Suitable for Beginners)

4.15 - 5pm Yoga Nidra

5 - 6pm True meaning of Yoga (Brief history of yoga followed by Q&A +Meditation)

OPENING EVENT SPEAKER – FRIDAY 24th MAY

Simon Wilson: Well-known award-winning journalist, Simon Wilson, will talk at our
opening night on ‘HomeGround: The story of a building that changes lives’.
SATURDAY LINE-UP – 25th MAY
Jenny Lynch: A former editor of the NZ Woman’s Weekly, Jenny will share her story of
writing her first novel in her eighties, ‘The Secrets They Kept’.
Geoff Scott: Acclaimed chef, Geoff Scott, will talk about his favourite cookbooks and how
they have influenced his cooking.
Colleen Brown: Community advocate and author, Colleen Brown, will share the back
story to her well-loved books ‘Violet’s Scarf’ and ‘The Bulford Kiwi’.
