The suspensions came as bus drivers stopped accepting passenger fares, in a bid for better pay work hours. On Thursday, First Union and Tramways withdrew industrial action after Auckland Council got involved with concerns of the suspension's impact on the city's public transport. However, union members and NZ Bus are yet to come to an agreement.

Ambury Park Centre based in Mangere Bridge is offering a three day horse programme that includes riding, horse management & horsemanship. The course gives children a taste of what it is like to own their own horse & the opportunity to have fun with other like-minded children. Introduce your child to horse riding with experienced equine instructors through fun & learning. Open to all, from total beginners to more experienced riders.
Book for one, two or all three days. Helmets are provided. No experience necessary. $95 per rider per day.
