Our theme for February is all about finding ways to show your home and community a little extra love and care. Whether it’s organising a street clean up, helping a neighbour tidy up their property, putting together a working bee, or installing a communal pātaka or library - there are countless ways to make our neighbourhoods more enjoyable for everyone.
Don’t forget to share the love! Let us know how you’re improving your neighbourhood this month by email or tag us online and include the following hashtag:

Hilton Brown in Penrose has superb staff but unfortunately their head office business ethics are highly lacking. Late last year an increase of $0.25 per lesson was advertised but this was false and misleading. For February alone, my increase was $61.88 which worked out to $4.12 per lesson per child. February is now almost $300 to teach my kids to swim!. If you have kids there - please look into your bills as what they initially advised was misleading. The Commerce Commission are now reviewing this and I ask all other parents to pick this up directly with Andrew Brown info@hiltonbrownswimming.co.nz.

The SPCA says a new $300 fine is helping to spread the warning that people should not leave their dogs in hot cars.
What do you think - is the message getting through to dog owners?
