Update on Signalized PedestrianCrossings
The following is part of an email received from Auckland Transport.
Bear in mind these signals were installed over 4 months ago, hopefully the Mayor might ask questions.
To give some context, before traffic lights can be activated we require Vector / Chorus to carry out the fibre connection, and once Vector / Chorus have done this Auckland Transport’s Operations Centre commission the signals so they begin working.
Unfortunately, AT and our partners have experienced issues in relation to the connection and commissioning of traffic lights recently, this has been escalated within AT to senior management and discussions have been held with our traffic light partners so we can work more efficiently in the future to carry out this work.
Hum!!
Poll: Have you ever been bullied?
People associate bullying with children in schools, but it can actually stretch beyond childhood to workplaces or neighbourhoods.
This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.
Have you or your whānau ever experienced bullying? Share your thoughts on Pink Shirt Day below.
