Free Public Tours of Watercare's Waikato Water Treatment Plant, Tuakau
Have you ever wondered how your drinking water is treated or gets to your taps?
Watercare is opening the doors to the Waikato Water Treatment Plant, Hayward Rd, Tuakau on 10 Nov from 9.00 am- 3.00 pm. Tours last approximately 50 minutes and leave every 30 minutes.
Children must be 5 years and older. Visitors must wear flat enclosed shoes (no sandals/jandals), bring a rain jacket/wear sun-block. A reasonable standard of fitness is required as the tour involves climbing stairs and walkways.
