The Chalet official opening

The Chalet official opening will be on the night of 25th October. The décor and style is that of a Swiss Stubli, which is a stand-alone, cosy, cottage-style exclusive dining facility made from 100% recycled timber throughout. The menu is fine dining new Zealand cuisine, up to 5 courses.

Highlights include - Matakana Oysters, Bavette of Wagyu Beef and Bitter Chocolate Tart

The Chalet is fully licensed, located within Snowplanet and will run a separate menu to 7Summits restaurant & bar. It will be open 5pm to 9pm Tuesday to Sunday, offering a full table service.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
