Uplands Kindergarten
We love The Easter Bunny song - and it gets played a lot at this time of the year. The song is the perfect way to encourage children's physical literacy as they deliver the eggs. Jumping, hopping and skipping is a skill we like children to fully develop at Uplands. It is an important part of their growth as they progress towards co-ordinated, mature movement. Feeling confident in movement, knowing how your body works and being aware of where your body fits into space is being physically literate and vital for self expression.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
