Lowering Speed around Auckland
Just been reading the list of the lower speed limits that AT are bring around Auckland, starting on 14th July. Manurewa is one where going through town it will be 30k instead of 50k. It would be like the days when a guy use to walk in front of a train/bus to make sure you didn't go to fast. 30K is virtually 15mph for those that remember the miles per hour. AT tells us that their are trying to stop the congestion, but going that slow is going to create more congestion, how stupid and pathetic can these people get.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
