Police continue appeal for Ella

The Team from Counties Manukau Police

Police continue to appeal for assistance in their search for Ella Davenport.

The 57-year-old will have been missing for four weeks this Friday. She was last seen on 20 June at her Hain Avenue home in Māngere.

“We have been carrying out extensive enquiries to locate Ella right across the community, and we still hold concerns for her welfare,” Detective Sergeant Rob Kerr says.
“Police believe Ella may be largely keeping to herself and may not interact with others.

“Auckland has experienced some appalling weather in recent weeks, so our priority is to locate Ella and return her home.”

Police thank those in the community that have contacted us to provide information in recent weeks.

“Please keep your eyes out for Ella, and if you do see her or know where she is, contact Police immediately,” Detective Sergeant Kerr says.

Anyone with information can also update Police online now or call 105.

Please reference Ella’s case number 250621/8662.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
