Twilight Lawn Bowls at Homai Bowling Club
Every Wednesday on the 13th, 20th and 27th November. From 5pm for a 6pm start. Play for one hour. Designed for beginners and bowlers alike. Any combination triples. All teams will have at least one non bowler. All new bowlers will be placed in a team with a club bowler so you will get all the help and coaching you will need. Bowls are provided for those who need them. Please wear flat soled shoes to protect the greens. The bar is open for refreshments and a social atmosphere is encouraged. $30 per team. $10 for a single entry. EFTPOS is available. Prizes are given at the end of the evening. We are situated at 103 Jellicoe Rd, Homai where there is plenty of off street parking. Please call Tia on 020 4137 4080 for any further information. The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
