Free NZQA Level 3 and Level 4 Business programmes

Josephine from Otara

Hello Neighbours,

My name is Josephine Baker. I hold a master degree in business and have tutored NZQA accredited business programmes for Te Wananga o Aotearoa in South Auckland. It is this time of the year again where we are offering our flagship business programmes to the community of South Auckland. These programmes are free of charge and all resources are provided, you bring your own stationery. My classes run out of MIT in Otara, from 6 - 9pm, as a convenience so that students do not have to travel to Mangere to the main Te Wananga o Aotearoa campus. and we hold workshops about once a month for students needing help with assignment completions. The programmes are:

1. The level 4 Certificate in Small Business and Project Management is a 36 week programme, which will run one evening a week, on a Tuesday, beginning Tuesday 3rd March and concluding in mid-Nov with a couple of study breaks. This covers all aspects of setting up and running a business including a legal plan, marketing plan, human resource management, operations management, health and safety laws in the workplace, accounting and taxation and financial planning/management. Plus much much more.

The project management aspect of the programme focuses on project management concepts where the student applies the development of a business plan for their business idea to project management concepts. This programme is the per-requisite for the NZ Diploma in Business (Project Management) which Te Wananga o Aotearoa also offers free of charge.

2. The level 3 Certificate in Money Management is a 20 week programme, which also runs once a week, on a Thursday evening, 6 - 9pm beginning 19 March and finishing end of July. It is much more than the title of the programme and looks at topics such as consumer debt management and the law around this, buying your own home, property investment, different types of investments in NZ, how to set up a family trust to protect your assets for your family, estate planning and the law around this and much more.

Email me at: simplybusiness2017@outlook.com if you are interested but please note you must be either a NZ citizen or permanent resident to qualify to do these free programmes. I am enrolling for these two programmes in the next week or so.
