Kia ora neighbours, police will be trialing armed response teams (ARTs) teams in south Auckland, Waikato, and Christchurch. Police Commissioner Mike Bush cited "growth in organised crime" and the impact of methamphetamine-fuelled offending as factors justifying the new teams.
