Poll: Should horse racing be banned?

The team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Melbourne Cup can be seen as an excuse for people to dress to the nines and get so drunk that they often miss seeing the races.

The physical and psychological pain these horses suffer is immense, with the movement against horse racing growing as animal welfare advocates call for change. What do you think? Should horse racing be banned? Vote in the poll below.

Missing cat

Alana from Otahuhu

Hi neighbours.... If anyone sees my baby wandering please contact me... She belonged to my dad who suddenly and unexpectedly passed away beginning of August this year. Unfortunately she does appear to have a couple of dopplegangers in the area... However my girl has a curly tail (winds up over her back) and the stomach pouch which the others don't appear to have.
She was accidentally shut outside for the night on Sunday /Monday night. She goes by the name of Spice tho she may not come to you....
Spice is 7yrs old, spayed and microchipped and I would love her back.

7 Reasons Auckland House Prices Are NOT Going Down

Maxim from Papatoetoe

1) existing housing shortfall,
2) GDP still growing in the mid-2s,
3) stable and low unemployment in Auckland,
4) ongoing strong net immigration,
5) record low interest rates,
6) recent stronger income growth,
7) canning of the capital gains tax
