Rock fishing, land-based fishing, boating and beach safety...do you enjoy these activities but would like to learn more about keeping yourself and others safer while doing so? Come join us at the Free Church of Tonga, 47 Favona Road, Mangere, 9.30am-12pm Saturday. In collaboration with members of Auckland Pacific community, Surf Life Saving, Coastguard and others, we are proud to present this water safety learning opportunity. People associate bullying with children in schools, but it can actually stretch beyond childhood to workplaces or neighbourhoods.
This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.
