Mama Cat needs a special home!
Mama Cat is looking for her forever family. Could you be the one who gives her the life she deserves?
Age: Between 1 and 3 (on vet estimate)
Desexed/microchipped: Yes
Temperament: Shy but can blossom into a smoochy, darling cat in the right home with patient and caring owners
Children/other pets: She should be fine with sensible children over 12, and should be fine with other calm pets in the home (after proper introduction)
Access: She will need to be an indoor-only cat or supervised outdoors as she has no teeth, so won't be able to fully defend herself against other animals
Ideally, Mama is looking for a quiet home where she can have the time and space she needs to adjust and learn that humans aren't so scary.
Mama was found raising her three kittens under a shed in June 2022 and has been fostered by me ever since. Once her kittens were grown and rehomed, we discovered she suffered from a painful disorder called Feline Stomatitis, which caused her body to attack her teeth and gums.
After a major surgery removing all of her teeth, Mama is now healthy and thriving and is looking for a loving home to spend her retirement in after going through such tough times!
She still happily eats biscuits and wet food.
When she was initially found, she was absolutely terrified of people and likely has lived on the streets her whole life. However, in the last few months, she's taken amazing strides and is bound to get even better once she's settled into her forever home.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
