Poll: Do you think mask wearing in public should be made compulsory?

Caryn Wilkinson Reporter from Community News

A student who was infectious with Covid-19 may have lowered the number of people she infected by wearing a mask at work in Auckland's CBD.

The student's decision to mask-up might have mitigated the number of secondary infections, said physicist and disease modeller Professor Shaun Hendy.

A neighbour of the woman returned a weak positive result on Saturday.

While 5400 tests were done in Auckland alone, no new community cases were revealed.
