Our local papers need your help!
We are refreshing your local newspaper, introducing new columns and making it a livelier read. Whether you are a regular reader of the paper or have not looked at your local community paper in a while, we hope to hear your thoughts on the changes.
If you are willing to share some of your valuable time, we are looking for a panel of Aucklanders to come to our Ponsonby office for an hour to give us some feedback from the following groups:
Are you a regular reader of the paper? Friday 22 February, 11am
Not currently a reader? Monday 25 February, 11am
We will provide morning tea and a $50 Prezzy Card for each person attending. Sign up by clicking here.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing.
