Lost and found hours are between 10am to 4pm, 7 days. Take the VN number (Village Number) from the title of this SPCA ad of the animal you feel may a match for your pet. For cats, take a cat carrier so you can transport your cat home if it is a match as they will not allow a cat to travel in a car unrestrained.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
